Description
This medal was issued when the United States Congress recognized Simon Wiesenthal of Austria in 1980 for his dedicated action in bringing to justice Nazi war criminals who had gone into hiding at the end of World War II.  The original medal was presented to Simon Wiesenthal by President Jimmy Carter at the While House.
