The front (obverse) of this medal was designed by Emilio Monti and the reverse by Ezio Saita after World War II in memory of the six million victims of the Nazi terror.  It was struck in 1953 in bronze (500 pieces) and silver (20 pieces).  It is 59mm in diameter.  Issued by the Italian firm Stefano Johnson ("S. Johnson G.S. Inc").
