Facts Concerning Our Hebrew School
Two Hundred and Fifty children attend the Hebrew School daily from four to eight o'clock. The largest number of these children live beyond walking distance from the school and are brought to the building by bus. According to the budget for 1931 it will cost approximately $50.00 per year for the education of one child. A large number of the parents are unable to contribute anything to the Hebrew School. It therefore becomes the duty of the other members of the commu-nity interested in Jewish education to sub-scribe to this drive.
Curriculum
Every child attending the Columbus Hebrew School receives a thorough and systematic training in reading and writing the Hebrew language. They are taught to read and understand the Bible and the Prayer Book. They study Hebrew gram -mar, and are taught Jewish History and Religion.
A Talmud Torah of the type represented by the Columbus Hebrew School is a communal institution rendering service to the entire community. Let us all awaken to our responsibility to this insti-tution.
