TALMUD TORAH K'NEGED KULOM
Chronicle Editor Receives Telegrams Concerning Drive From Rabbi A. H. Silver Aaron
M. Neustadt,
There is no more important and worthy cause in Jewish life in America than that of Jewish education. Our survival and our future position as an helpful element in American life will depend upon the kind of religious and ethical instruction which we will give to our children. I wish Columbus Jewry every success in its campaign in behalf of its Hebrew School. (Signed) Abba Hillel Silver, The Temple, Cleveland, Ohio.
From Dr. Stephen S. Wise
Aaron M. Neustadt,
Talmud Torah has ever provided the refreshing waters for the dry places of the Jewish soul it has served to quicken the Jew's spirit and to keep alive his highest aims and hopes it is truly a fountain of living waters. Jewish education belongs to no section or party in Israel, it is the com-mon spring out of which all Jews must drink if they are not to perish from the earth. To the support of Jewish educa-tion every Jew must rally regardless of what his private convictions or personal attitudes may be. Talmud Torah Keneged Kulom. (Signed) ) Stephen S. Wise, President of the Jewish Institute of Religion and Rabbi of the Free Synagogue, New York City.
