MEETING OCTOBER 20 OF ALL MEMBERS AT UNION
An important meeting for all members of Hillel will be held on Wednesday October 20 at 7:30 in the evening at the student union.

HILLEL ADVISORY COUNCIL ANNOUNCED
The Hillel Advisory Council is composed of representatives of Bnai Brith, Bnai Brith Women, The Jewish Center, and student members of Hillel. Maury Davis is with us as counselor again for this school year. The other members of the Advisory Council are as follows: Chariman [sic], Mr. Emanual Marks of Bnai Brith; Secretary, Mr. Al Fingerman; Treasurer Mrs. Sidney Gottlieb; Co-Chariman [sic], Mr. Max Cain. Student Representatives are Sam Schapiro, Gloria Baker, Norma Siegel, Helen Hauser, and Corinne Wolf.
The Hillel Councilship was official inaugurated on the UC campus March 3, 1948. At that time there were 120 members. Hillel, as most of us know, serves a threefold purpose: religious, cultural, and social.
The staff of the Hillel Bulliten [sic] will be announced in the next issue. Positions and plenty of them are still open. Call Herb Bronstein – Un.3299
Yes! FOR THE BOND ISSUE.
YES! FOR THE HILLEL DANCE
The first major Hillel-sponsored social event of the season will take place on Monday night, November 1st. The night before election, Sinto Hotel will be the scene of Gala festivity. The Hillel “YES” Dance will be in full swing. All members and their dates will be admitted free. Al Cassidy and his band will play “Yes” music to get people in the mood for the Bond Issue and to get people in the mood. If you ask about entertainment and refreshments, we say simply, “Yes.” Is everybody going to be there? YES!
COMMITTEE HEAD OUTLINES MEMBERSHIP PLANS
In relation to membership, this year’s first meeting was a tremendous success. Fifty three people joined, and considering the fact that the membership drive has not yet started, this was an excellent start. Joan Kraft, who is in charge of membership plans and her committee are working overtime to see that the membership drive, lasting from October 15 to October 29, is a complete success. Meetings take place the third Wednesday of every month at 7:30 in the Student Union.
