In the style common to the series, the reverse bears HERZL in large letters, together with “Visionary Founder of modern political zionism, prophet of a flourishing Jewish nation “If you will it - It is no Legend”.  Hungarian Born.  1860-1904”.  Just above the rim at 6 o’clock is the mark of the Franklin Mint.

Description
This medal is #___ in the 120 piece series titled “Medallic History of the Jewish People”, which began in April 1969 and ended in August 1974.  A brochure was issued with each medal; for reference, see Numismatic Issues of the Franklin Mint, 1974 (p.41).

The edge of the medal is marked “Sterling”.  Each medal is individually numbered on the edge, and the version in the CJF collection is numbered “1240”.
