The front / obverse has in its left field a right facing bust of Begin with “BEGIN” to its left.  Underneath the bust is the flag of Israel.  In the right field is a left facing bust of Sadat with “SADAT” to the right.  Underneath the bust is a flag of Egypt.  In the upper center field is a flying dove with an olive branch in its beak.  Curved around the upper rim is “REPUBLIQUE D’ HAITI”.  Curved around the lower rim is “19 NOV. - 25 DEC. 1977”.

Description
            This coin was issued by the Republic of Haiti to commemorate Sadat’s historic trip to Jerusalem.  Haiti is the only country known to have issued a coin to commemorate Sadat’s visit to Israel (other than Israel and Egypt).  It was issued in Sterling Silver.  The edge of the coin is reeded and the rim of both the obverse and reverse are beeded.
