The front / obverse has in its center field slightly overlapping left facing busts of Sadat, Carter and Begin.  Underneath the busts are the dates 1977, 1978 and 1979, staggered on top of each other, representing the three years during which Egyptian and Israeli peace negotiations occurred.  At the base of the bust of Begin are the sculptor’s initials, “VH”.
