Description
This medal was issued in bronze (59mm), Silve - 925 (59mm), gold plated bronze (59mm) silver plated bronze (59mm) and 22 carat gold (35mm, 35grams). 

Each medal is individually numbered on its edge.  The medals issued in each metal type were numbered together 1-5,000. Each medal is marked in English and Hebrew on its rim with “ISRAEL” (the gold-plated bronze example shown above is numbered #715).  

The medal was designed by Israeli artist Noam Basson and was issued by the Shekel Mint. 

500 of the 22 carat gold were issued.
