Annual Election
Held By Cincinnati Section Council of Jewish Women.
At the annual election of Cincinnati Section, Council of Jewish Women in the Whittler Street Sabbath-school Building yesterday, the following officers were elected: Honorary President, Mrs. Sigmar Stark, who retires from Presidency after serving five years; President, Mrs. Frederick A. Johnson; Vice Presidents, Mrs. Clarence Mack and Mrs. Sylvan Hirschberg; Recording Secretary, Mrs. Henry Englander; Financial Secretary, Mrs. Ida Bing; Treasurer, Mrs. Charles Thurnaur; Auditor, Mrs. Edward L. Heinsheimer; Directors, Mrs. Alfred Friedlander, Mrs. Jonas Frenkel, Mrs. George Gluck, Mrs. Ralph Mack, Mrs. Solomon Meiss, Miss Leah Rosenthal and Mrs. David Workum; Delegates to the triennial convention, Mrs. Clarence Mack and Mrs. Sigmar Stark; Alternates, Mrs. Morris Strauss and Mrs. David Phillipson.
Mrs. Frederick Johnson read a report on penny luncheons in schools, and said a new one had been instituted a few days ago at the Guilford School. The Chairman of Sabbath-school work said the council was conducting Sabbath schools for poor children in several crowded districts where groups of children do not live near any of the synagogues. Reports of committees showed progress along many lines.
