Left to Right L/Cpl Raymond Lindamoan, USKC, New York, N.Y., Chaplain's Assistant, Chaplain Robert L. Reiner, LT. USIR, Jewish Chaplain for I Corps area. They are displaying a giant Uniongram (telegram from a temple sisterhood) wishing the Jewish servicemen a Happy Chanukkah. The inscription which is taken from the Union Prayer Book, the prayer book of the reform movement of Judaism, reads: How much we owe to the labors of our brothers! Day by day they enlist in outposts of peril that we may be secure." The uniongram was sent by Temple Beth Israel, Atlantic City, N.J. It contains the names of each of the members of the congregation.
In the foreground is a display which consists of Chanukkah menorahs in the shape of the Star of David. The kosher candies, Jewish paperback books, gifts, Chanukkah menorahs and Israelit candles which are displayed were sent by various Jewish organizations. The Women's Organizations' Services of the National Jewish Welfare Board coordinated the shipments of these gifts.
