Moses E. Miller Succumbs After Two-Month Illness
 
Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. from the home for Moses E. Miller, 76, druggist, former president of the Washington Avenue Synagogue and prominent figure in Jewish circles, who died at his home, 836 Windham avenue, Avondale, after an illness of two months.
 
Miller organized the Hebrew Free Loan Society several years ago, for making loans, without interest, to needy Jewish families. This will be perpetuated in his memory by his widow and ten children. He also was instrumental in organizing an building the Washington Avenue Synagogue, and was president of it until a year before his death, having served for twelve years.
 
Several years ago, Miller organized the first Jewish Shelter Home, in his residence, then on West Sixth street. This is now known as a Jewish community center, and has been moved to Clinton street. He was a prominent figure in orthodox Judaism. He also belonged to the Orthodox Old Home.
 
Miller operated a drug store at Sixth and John streets for forty years.
 
Miller came to Cincinnati at 16 from Lithuania and has lived here all his life. He leaves a widow, Rachael Miller; one brother, William Miller, and ten children.
 
The children are Dr. Raphael W. Miller, Chicago; Dr. David Miller, Los Angeles; Asher, I.J. and Mitchel Miller, Cincinnati druggists; Mrs. I.J. Lesser, Mrs. George Serrins, Mrs. Max B. Oscherwitz and Mrs. Joseph Katz, also of Cincinnati. There are ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
 
Rabbi E. Silver will officiate at the funeral services. Burial will be in Covedale Cemetery.
