Memorial Book for Rabbi Zelig Sharfstein of Cincinnati, Ohio

Zelig and Rivka started a family of their own in 1955, with a firstborn son, Avraham Zev, named after Zelig's father. Today, he is married to Hinda Leah (Triguboff) Sharfstein and is a father of 8 children, living in Crown Heights, New York. Rabbi Sharfstein holds a degree in commercial heating and air conditioning, and works in a communications company where he is charge of the up-keep and upgrading of heating and air conditioning.
Sixteen months later their first girl was born - Shifra. She was named after Rivka's grandmother and today she is a mother of seven. She and her husband, Rabbi Yosef Landa are Chabad Shluchim in St. Louis, Missouri where they have established a Chabad House. Shiffy also teaches in the Epstein Hebrew Academy day school, and together with their family they continue to help the grow-ing Jewish Community there.
Esther Sharfstein, Zelig's mother, passed away on the 24th of October, corresponding to the 24th of Tishrei, 1959. Zelig was in New York for Sukkos and Simchas Torah and therefore had the privilege of spending time with her before she passed away.
In 1960, their second daughter, my mother, was born. They named her Esther, after Zelig's mother who passed away a year before her birth. A year after my parents
