sustained them and nourished them all of these years, de-spite the many challenges they faced Zelig and Rivka moved neighbourhoods, from North-Avendale to Rose-lawn, as they bought a house there, on the Rebbe's ad-vice.
In the year 1964, Zelig became the Rabbi of the Kehillas Bnei Israel Synagogue, a position a position that he held for his entire life.
After Zelig had been teaching in the Chofetz Chaim Day School for twelve years the school asked him if he would take over the position of principal which he did from 1966 to 1968.
In 1968, Rabbi Silver who was the Chief Rabbi of Cincinnati passed away. Candidates and represen-tatives of many different synagogues listened to a few candidates from out-side Cincinnati to see if -- they were capable to take over the position. None of the candidates impressed them, so a few Rabbis suggested Zelig. He was voted in and he willingly accepted the po-sition as Chief Rabbi of Cincinnati, Ohio, one that he has
