Ever since we learned that Bernice Friedman wanted to do something special for this synagogue in memory of her parents, it seemed like a good idea to me to gather background information and personal stories about our friends Al and Sadye and to put together a little booklet for all of us who knew and loved the Harris’’.

I interviewed a number of their family and friends and listened to tapes of several honorary dinners. I tried to gather and write down as much about them as I could, but found there is no way to adequately describe the fullness of their lives.

Nevertheless the following is offered to the family of Albert and Sadye Harris in grateful thanks and appreciation for the kindness and generosity to our synagogue. May they merit many happy and healthy years to continue their good works in the Jewish community.
