Still later ground was purchased on Dawn Road in Roselawn to build a new building, and Albert Harris built this building which was dedicated in 1963, and is now known as Cin-cinnati Hebrew Day School. Sadye Harris was also active in support of numerous Jewish charitable causes, including Bonds for Israel, Bnai Brith and Mizrachi. She was asked many times to take leadership posi-tions such as president, but she never wanted this, she preferred to remain in the background, lending a hand in all of the group's endeavors. The Harris' received the "Generations Award" in May 1979 from the Israel Bonds organization, "For Outstanding Service to the State of Israel and the Jewish People." Daughter Bernice Friedman and son Irving Harris remember growing up in a loving family with lots of good times. Their mother put great effort into every Jewish holiday. Said Bernice, "On Pesach she would have thirty-five guests one night and thirty the next." The entire extended family would attend. "My mother was never- idle, she was always thinking ahead. There were picnics, cookouts, trips, every holiday warmly celebrated. She was a wonderful cook and baked constantly." Sadye Harris was a generous and sweet person. She was never heard to speak a word of gossip about
