Description
Photographs from the orphanage for Polish children in Vac, Hungary. From the personal collection of Edward Herman who spent time in the orphanage while on the run from the Nazis. The children given fake documents listing them as Christians. Both the director and the resident priest of the orphanage were granted the status of Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem.
