19th Century Stained Glass Window from Mound Street Temple (Cincinnati, OH)

19th century

caption:
The window is in three sections. The bottom section of the window, made of two panels, is the mirror image of the middle section. The major design element in the top section   is of two adjoining tablets (lavender) with elaborate crowns, bordered by a series of links and small doves.  Above the tablets is a Jewish star encased in a circle, with three petals.  In order to give the cathedral shape to the window, parts from another were added to form the top section.  The window features shades of lavender, rose, red, blue, brown, yellow and amber glass.
