Section 2. President. The president shall preside at all meetings of the members and ex-officio be a member of the Board of Trustees, and sign all checks, documents, and the papers and records thereof, and perform generally all the duties usually performed by presidents of congregations, and such future and other duties as many be from time to time required of him by the members or trustees. A majority of the members appointed to each committee shall be appointed by the president. The president shall keep strict and careful watch over the elections and shall appoint three (3) tellers and one by vice-president to serve at each election and at the conclusion of an elections announce the results thereof to the members.
Section 3. Vice-President. The vice-president shall assist the president in all the proceedings of the congregation and shall assist him in keeping order at the meetings. In the absence of the president he shall assume the duties of the president. A minority of the members of each committee shall be appointed by the vice-president, and as Chairman of the Finance Committee he shall take part in auditing the books and accounts of the congregation. He shall act and serve as Chairman of the Sick Committee.
Section 4. Recording Secretary. The recording secretary shall keep the minutes of all the meetings of this congregation and shall keep a record of all correspondence, transactions, income and expenses. He shall notify the members of each meeting and handle the congregation’s correspondence. Upon being notified by the warden (Gabbai Bais Chaim) of the death of a member it shall be the duty of the recording secretary to notify the membership of such death.
