Netilat Yadayim (Hand Washing) Cup used by Kneseth Israel Congregation (Cincinnati, Ohio)

This washing cup was donated to Kneseth Israel by Sam Armstrong, who emigrated from Riga Lithuania in 1890.

The cup is inscribed with the following Hebrew Inscription:  

Inscribed in Hebrew with: “For complete health/recovery, Armstrong and resusia [??] In rememberance of the names of her parents, Rabbi Ezikiel, son of Jacob and Rena, Daughter of Yakael”
