Anshei Sfard (Louisville, Kentucky) Collection
Congregation Anshei Sfard was founded by Russian Jews in 1893. After residing in several buildings in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, the congregation settled at 3700 Dutchmans Lane in 1957. Construction on the building was completed in 1963. In 1971, Anshei Sfard absorbed a local Orthodox congregation, Agudath Achim. Today, the congretation is still located at 3700 Dutchman's Lane.
