Dear Friend of Zion: —
We greatly appreciate the kind help you have hitherto given to our great cause. Thru your kind help you have made it possible for our century-old institutions to carry on their vital rescue work for the thousands of "refugees" as well as for the native residents of the Holy Land.
But this great work must not cease. We must continue the rescue work which is of greater importance now when war clouds are hovering over the horizon of the Holy Land and the need is greater than ever thus placing greater responsibilities and obligations upon our institutions.
THE SACRED FESTIVAL OF "PASSOVER" is fast approaching, a season which demands greater expenditures than usual. We must sustain the hundreds of Scholars and Sages with their families, the Teachers' Staff and their families and the thousands of pupils, many of whom are orphans, dependents of the famous "Etz Chaim Torah Center" embracing 13 Talmud Torah's and 2 Yeshivoth. We must feed and provide with medical care the miserable, sick patients of the "Bicur Cholim Hospitals" and the only "Home for Incurable Invalids." But all channels of help have been cut off by the war and it is only the kind-hearted people of G-d blessed America that can and must help.
WE, therefore, APPEAL TO YOU: Please respond nobly, liberally to our appeal. Give our destitute sisters and brethren of the Holy Land a chance to enjoy to some extent the festivities of Passover. Please remember that all funds are trans-mitted to Jerusalem by cable.
Enclosed please find a booklet with "PASSOVER SEALS." Send us your personal donation and help us with the distribution of these seals among friends and acquaintances.
We look with confidence to your kind response and may G-d bless you there-for with a Happy, Peaceful Passover. May we all witness the restoration of peace to the world, built on the noble principles of Justice and Brotherly Love.
Your well-wishing Brethren,
Rabbi Rosenberg
