Obverse: In the center field is a picture of Pope John Paul II meeting with the President of Poland in Warsaw in front of the monument at the former Umschlagplatz in the Warsaw Ghetto area. Curved around the upper rim is written “POSLANIE W INTENCJI OFIAR HOLOCAUSTU”. Curved around the lower rim is written “5759 WARSZAWA 1999”.

Commissioned by the Nissenbaum Family Foundation to commemorate the visit of Pope John Paul II’s visit to Warsaw Ghetto in 1999. Believe that only 150 of this medal were minted in Silvered Bronze (70mm in diameter). Project and design: Rosana & Andrew Nowakowski. Signed with the monogram ANR.
