Chofetz Chaim Community Dinner Will Be Held Tuesday, February 26
The Chofetz Chaim Community Dinner will be held Tuesday, February 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center, ac-cording to Meyer Goldberg, presi-dent of the School.
Principal Speaker
Rabbi David L. Silver, of Har-risburg, Pa., will be the principal speaker at the dinner. The event will also be the occasion to pre-sent plans for the new building, for which ground has been pur-chased on Dawn Avenue in Rose-lawn, just behind the Jewish Com-munity Center.
Architect
Designed by Benjamin Dombar, A. I. A. and Associate Architects, the new school will contain nine classrooms, kindergarten, nursery, administrative offices and an in-firmary placed around a circular multi-purpose room with a "lamella"-type dome. The multi-purpose room may be used as either a 200-seat synagogue, with simultaneous dining room facili-ties, or a gymnasium with basket-ball court, or a 380-seat audi-torium. The school will have fa-cilities for 70 pupils, from kinder-garten up through eighth grade.
Traditional Judaism
"We are building a school which will endeavor to retain the pris-tine quality of traditional Juda-ism," says Mr. Goldberg, "we want to retain the original pure stock of quality, with no ambition for quantity." Charles Froikin, director of the Cincinnati branch of Young Is-rael, is assisting with arrangements for the dinner.
