The Union of Orthodox Rabbis in the United States and Canada, in association with Agudat Israel had worked with the J.M. Musy (the former Swiss Preident), to made 20 Million Swiss francs available to secure the release of Jews from Theresienstadt. The release from Theresienstadt began on February 4, 1945; the majority of prisoners released being elderly men and women.
