Description
This medal was struck to honor the Government Minister. He represented Israel at the UN for ten years, and became the Vice-President of the General Assembly. He then served as the Israeli Ambassdor to the USA. In Israel, he served as Minister of Education and Culture, Foreign Minister during the Six Day War in 1967 and the Yom Kippur War in 1973, and as Chairman of the Knesset Committee of Defense and Foreign Affairs. A noted author of several books on Israel, the Middle East, History and Foreign Affairs.
