Description
The 1st Golani Brigade (and the 2nd Carmeli Brigade) was formed in February 1948 from one of the original 4 permanent standing brigades created in 1947, the Levanoni Brigade (the "Northern Brigade") which was assigned all of the northern sector of Israel. The Golani Brigade was assigned the north-eastern sector and fought against the armies of Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon.

Mintage: This medal was struck in Bronze and Silvered Bronze (both 35mm diameter).
