6. CODE OF RULES NAME
The name of this organization shall be: The Vaad Ho'ier Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of Greater Cincinnati.
PURPOSE
The purpose of The Vaad Holier-Union of Orthodox Jewish Con-gregations shall be to further the cause of Orthodox Judaism by stimulating, encouraging, developing, and supervising all matters affecting the observance of the Orthodox Jewish Laws and Customs among the Orthodox Jewish Congregations.
To assist and co-operate in all social, moral and economic conditions affecting the principles of Orthodox Judaism with the various charitable, philanthropic, educational and religious organiza-tions for the promotion of the common welfare.
This organization shall not engage in any propaganda of a partisan political nature or interfere with the autonomy of a consti-tuent organization.
AFFILIATION-MEMBERSHIP
Aby Jewish Congregation abiding by and conforming to the Orthodox Jewish principles of Faith shall be eligible to membership and such application for membership must be approved by a majority vote of the organization represented at a meeting of the Vaad Ho'ier-Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of Greater Cincinnati, present at any regular meeting.
Each affiliated Congregation shall be represented by their President and shall elect or appoint two delegates to represent their organization on the Governing Board of the Vaad Hoier.
Any Jewish Organization abiding by and conforming to the Orthodox Jewish Principles of Faith, and the purposes of the Vaad Hoier, shall be eligible to Associate Membership in the Vaad Hoier, and such application must be approved by a majority vote of the delegates present at any regular meeting of the Vaad Hoier.
Said Organization shall be given the right to vote, and shall be represented by one delegate, whose term of office shall be the same as the other delegates.
Said Organization shall assume no financial obligations, unless it is with the consent of said Organization.
Any person of the Orthodox Jewish faith approving the pur-pose for which The Vaad Ho'ier was organized may become an associate member at $3.00 or more per year.
Any group of 50 associate members may organize into a district and elect one delegate to The Vaad Ho’ier for every 50 paying members.
