The back / reverse has in its center field the national symbol of Haiti.  Curved around the upper edge is written in Spanish “LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE” (Liberty, Equality and Fraternity).  In the lower center field is written “100 Gourdes 1977”.  The Gourde is a monetary unit of Haiti.

Description
            This coin was issued by the Republic of Haiti to commemorate Sadat’s historic trip to Jerusalem.  Haiti is the only country known to have issued a coin to commemorate Sadat’s visit to Israel (other than Israel and Egypt).  It was issued in Sterling Silver.  The edge of the coin is reeded and the rim of both the obverse and reverse are beeded.
