The front / obverse has in the top center field profile busts of Begin and Sadat face to face with a view of the Knesset (the Israeli Parliament building) below. Beneath the bust of Begin is written in Hebrew, “10th of Kislev 5738 [1977]”, and beneath the bust of Sadat is written “9.11.1977”. Curved around the rim in English, Hebrew and Arabic is written, “Jerusalem - Begin Sadat’s meeting”.

The medal was issued in Bronze (59mm - 10,000 minted), in Silver (59mm - mintage unknown - marked .999 silver on the edge), and in Gold Plated (59mm - 2,500 minted). Each medal is individually numbered on the edge (the bronze example in the CJF Collection is numbered 666).
