The front / obverse has in its center, the word “SHALOM” in Hebrew on top of the word “PEACE” in Arabic and English.  Curved above the inscription is written “Joyous Holiday” in Hebrew, and “GREETINGS FROM ISRAEL” in English.  Curved around the upper rim is written in English, Hebrew and Arabic “ISRAEL-EGYPT PEACE TREATY”.

Description
 
The token was issued in 1980 by the Israel Government Mint, Jerusalem, to commemorate the signing of the Egyptian-Israeli Peace Treaty.  The token was issued with two separate reverses.  The token with the first shown reverse was issued in Copper/Nickel (30mm, 70,000 minted), and the token with the second reverse shown was issued in Copper/Nickel (30mm, 3,000 issued).  The token was designed by Ya’akov Anidi based on the “Peace” medal designed by Zvi Narkiss.  The token was engraved by Tidhar Dagan.
