Congregation B’nai Tzedek (Cincinnati, Ohio) 1982 18th Anniversary Booklet

caption:
Dear Friends,
Eighteen years ago a new synagogue burst upon the Cincinnati scene. Since it could hardly be claimed that Cincinnati suffered from a dearth of Jewish activity, that syna-gogue, in order to succeed, would have to be conceptually innovative rather than one more face in the crowd.
Congregation B'nai Tzedek has fulfilled that role in an admirable and often exemplary way. By leaving aside many of the trappings of what passes for Judaism in the twentieth-century, you have created an atmosphere of religious striving interwoven with a back-ground of intellectual attainment in a con-text of friendship and cordiality. Many of my fondest Jewish memories hearken back to B'nai Tzedek.
As you celebrate chai years of growth and success, may you commit yourselves ever-more deeply to your continued growth and development. May you grow from strength as you labor to bring about God's kingdom.
With every fond wish,
Rabbi Eric A. Silver
