ARTICLE 6
Elections
Section 1. The election of trustees, officers and Cemetery Board shall be held at the annual meeting of members, or at a special meeting called for that purpose. Such trustees, officers and members of the Cemetery Board shall be elected by a majority ballot and shall hold office for one year or until their successors are elected and qualified.
Section 2. Only such members as have been members of the congregation for a period of six (6) months or more shall be eligible to be nominated and elected for any elective office, provided, moreover, that such member shall be present in person at the meetings during which nominations and election occur.
ARTICLE 7
Duties of Officers
Section 1. The trustees shall guard the property of the congregation. They shall report at each meeting regarding such repairs or purchases as are necessary and are empowered to order emergency repairs to the extent of $25.00. Expenditures and repairs or purchases in excess or twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be submitted to three (3) or more competitive bidders by the trustees and said bids acted on by the congregation. Preference, however, shall be given to members for the congregation. The trustees shall be present and participate in the examination of the books and records of the congregation.
